Frequently Asked Questions

How do you finance your programs and activities?

We finance ourselves through sponsorship, seeking funds through various campaigns and self-management projects, such as races and sports competitions.

How can I donate?

On the website you have several ways of payment: through PayPal, the Datafas payment button, transfer to accounts in Quito, Ecuador, or transfer to accounts in the United States. Contact internationalrelations@ninosdemaria.org to understand what payment method could suit you best.

What percentage of the funds do students and their families receive?

The children and their families receive 97% of the funds and practically 3% goes to administrative expenses.

Are there business programs?

Companies can contribute through donations and benefit from tax deductions. They can also receive certificates for their social responsibility efforts by supporting a non-profit foundation. Moreover, they can get advertising exposure by backing our fundraising campaigns. Furthermore, their employees or directors can actively participate in programs supporting our work with children and families, such as during events like Christmas or Children's Day, among others.

How can I deduct taxes on my donations?

If the contribution is made in the United States, you have the possibility of receiving your tax deduction document in the year of contribution since  Friends of Niños de Maria Foundation (our U.S. office) has 501C- tax return certification.

What kind of follow-up and support do you offer once the children have completed their programs?

Once the children have left the Foundation, that is, in 10th grade, we have agreements with schools that offer high school or technical high school and we give them scholarships in those schools.
